Florence

bonjour son j'encore ! oui les ses étés un moment et moi suis désolés!
anyhows where did i stop off the last time? oh rite the beautiful city of LYON! and after lyon we went to....

ITALY!!! to Florence! where Cherysa put eyeliner for me hahaha... n there was a day where one Korean, one Japanese and one Chinese travelled together! :)

This is the kind of burden we lug around Europe k.. all u see of shujun are her legs.. that's how huge her bagpack is... ours too ;)

Our big roomy hotel. Garden hotel.. its so roomy that even the toilet is open concept.. see if u can spot shujun in the toilet haha.. its jus a hole in the wall lor.. from where cherysa is sitting can see EVERYTHING of the person showering hahaha... so yup we've seen it alllllll...

Ponte Vecchio.. reminds me of Pinocchio haha.. but anyway this is a bridge that has shops on them. very quaint very pretty.. they all sell gold, jewellery the works.. all expensive :)

These canoeists are very good at what they are doing.. they canoe very fast n effortlessly.. reminds me of OBS days but of course they are more professional~


My favourite - Horse-drawn carriages! too bad i didn't get to travel in one cos its too expensive and my prince charming not there... tho i think if i ever do sit in one it won't be a magically feeling.. it'd be overshadowed by the enormous feeling of sympathy for the horse that has to work for my pleasure.. sigh.. den no more happiness liao...

Finding our way to Duomo II a dome on a cathedrale...Along the way we saw.. haha.. this lady n many other people drawing beautifully on the ground..
Ta-dah! Duomo II... err actually you cant see it in the picture.. this is the Cathedrale Santa Maria.. which Duomo II is attached to...The inside.. so there's this story behind Duomo that we read in the Cathedrale.. the windows are positioned at a certain angle such that on a certain day in the month.. think June 26th if im not mistaken, where the light will shine in from that window on the dome-shaped roof, and onto the motif on the ground that serves as a sundial. So i bet the cathedrale is swamped or either closed during that particular day cos it is the ONLY day in the year that the sundial works haha..

Hmm... this is a bazaar that we stumbled upon! They sell alot of nice touristy things like leather products, i-love-italy shirts, football jerseys, leather-bound diaries etc..

Mercato Centrale - they sell foodstuffs and fruits veggies... its a lovely place to walk around but nth to buy for us haha..
Our cute italian waiter haha.. we chanced upon this eatery selling pretty foodstuff i had to take a picture... and this cutie so happened to be in it.. so lucky u get to see him too! :)

Well, we saw the nice foods but we didn't eat there, too costly.. instead we ate at another place selling pizzas and pastas.. unfortunately we got cheated cos their foods are only nice to look at not nice to eat.. bleah it was all microwave heated.. we were bluffed!

Our last day in Florence! We were in Florence from 17th to 19th only cos 20th we had to be in Rome.. so our last meal was at this cosy lil place near our hotel that had a 10 euro tourist meal which served your choice of pasta, your choice of steak or grilled chicken and a drink! :) it was a filling meal even tho i had no dessert i was stuffed haha..

To end off... Shujun with her favourite item in the whole of Europe! The postbox! She seriously has an affinity with these things cos she can identify them no matter which country she was in.. i for one cannot hahaha... im always complaining how come so difficult to come across postboxes.. when in reality i just walk past them unknowingly...
